NESHANNOCK Township OKs 4-year pay-raise pact with police
NESHANNOCK, Pa. -- Township supervisors approved Wednesday a four-year contract with the police department.
The contract, which will take effect Jan. 1, allows for a 3.5 percent raise the first year and 3 percent raises each of the remaining three years of the contract.
Supervisor John DiCola Jr., said the contract otherwise is the same except for minor language changes.
Storm-water damage
Supervisors announced the township has received more than 236 storm-water complaints from residents, which are being reviewed by supervisors, road department officials and engineers.
DiCola said that he has met with officials from the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency concerning water problems in the township and that PEMA said money would be awarded to help fix problems caused by storm damage between July and September.
