Four area golf teams advance

HUBBARD -- The teams from Canfield, Cardinal Mooney, Lakeview and Warren John F. Kennedy advanced in the high school girls sectional golf tournament Wednesday at Doughton Golf Course.
Canfield shot 389, trailed by Mooney (393), Lakeview (393) and Warren JFK (411).
Canfield scorers were Felicia Ciotola (94), Karly Johnson (94), Samantha Testa (98), Ashley Yager (103) and Cara Graneto (110).
For Mooney, Katie Dick scored 78, Mollie Boney had a 98, Maria Palazzo had a 102, Dana Palazzo a 115 and Arica Angelo a 123.
Lakeview's scorers were Laura Nochta (80), Hilary Ray (103), Kelli Burkey (110), Colleen Kosta (114) and Alyssa Sarko (127).
For JFK, Brittney Binko shot 93, Katie Rogner 95, Mandy Giangardella 110, Abby Letson 113 and Mackenzie Dobson 118.
Sophomore Von Goll of Salem shot 87, Boardman senior Carley Karzmer shot 92, freshman Katie Jurenovich of Howland carded a 93 and junior Stephanie Mrozer shot a 96 as the four individual qualifiers.
The district tournament will be held next week at Tam O'Shanter Golf Club in Canton.
