SOCCER Willis nets 100th in Mooney's 6-3 win

MERCER, Pa. -- Kiki Willis scored four goals Tuesday to give him 100 in his varsity career as the Cardinal Mooney High School boys soccer team defeated Mercer, 6-3.
Willis has 34 goals this year, making the junior the top current soccer scorer in Ohio in any division.
Senior Christo Frangopoulos collected a goal and three assists for Mooney (12-0-1). He has 47 career assists and 20 this year -- also tops in Ohio in any division.
The other Mooney goal was scored by senior Jon Freaney.
The Cardinals have a 30-match unbeaten streak over two seasons and are ranked eighth in the nation by the National Soccer Coaches Athletic Association.
The Mustangs are 6-4.
Hubbard 4, Ursuline 1
STRUTHERS -- Chris Styn scored three goals for the Eagles (7-4-2).
Josh Petrusko added a goal and an assist. Billy Williams and Anthony Tombo each had assists.
Chris DePaola scored the goal for the Irish (3-9-2).
Hubbard had 14 shots on goal, compared to eight for Ursuline.
Goalkeeper Jared Daly made five saves for the Irish. Aaron Severn had six for Hubbard.
Warren JFK 3, Warren Harding 1
WARREN -- Quinn Macali scored two goals for the Eagles (8-3-1) and Kyle Schimley added the other one. Macali and Schimley had an assist apiece.
Carey Antonio scored for the Raiders (5-8-1).
JFK had 14 shots on goal, compared to 10 for Warren Harding.
Goalkeeper Brian Wolnik made nine saves for JFK.
Canton GlenOak 3, Austintown Fitch 2
CANTON -- Sabastian McCabe made the winning goal for GlenOak with about three minutes remaining.
Drew Fernandez added two goals for the Eagles (7-5-2).
Chris Frazzini scored a goal for the Falcons (2-8-4) and Ben Weaver scored on an assist by Anthony Colaluca to tie the game at 2 all, with 11 minutes remaining in the contest.
Fitch had nine shots on goal, compared to 13 for GlenOak.
Goalkeeper Pat Passewitz made 12 saves for the Falcons.
Howland 1, Alliance 1
ALLIANCE -- In the Metro Athletic Conference showdown, Mike Maiorano scored on an assist by Amir Shehabi in the first half for the Tigers (8-2-3, 5-1-2).
In the second half, Matt Paidas scored for Alliance (7-3-2, 5-2-2). Mike Gross had the assist.
Alliance took nine shots on goal and Howland goalkeeper Zack Roscoe made one save.
Howland took 15 shots and Kyle Grove saved five.
United 3, Crestview 0
HANOVERTON -- All in the first half, Brock Volio scored twice while Austin Dangler put another goal on the board.
The Rebels fell to 8-2-3, 3-1-1 Tri-County League.
Heartland Christian 5, Noble County Club 0
COLUMBIANA -- Blake Kozma and Jordan Uhl each had two goals for the Lions (8-3-1). Mike Barborak scored a goal and an assist.
The Lions had 13 shots on goal, compared to Noble County Club's 10. Kozma made six saves.
Girls
KINSMAN -- Tessa Bonar scored two goals and Michelle Fitch added another as Badger defeated Girard, 3-1.
The Braves (9-3-1) led 2-0 at the half.
Erica Leskovec scored for the Indians (1-9-1).

HUBBARD -- Christina Adams and Rachel Crafton scored a goal apiece for the Eagles (6-7). Crafton had an assist.
Hubbard had 28 shots on goal, compared to two for the Golden Flashes (7-7).
Goalkeeper Jessica Wood had 18 saves.
