GM sees an increasein sales of Cavaliers
LORDSTOWN -- Sales of the Chevrolet Cavalier surged 52 percent in September. General Motors Corp. said Wednesday that it sold 17,684 of the Lordstown-built cars last month, compared with 11,662 in the same month last year. For the year, Cavalier sales are at 194,035, which is up 0.6 percent. Sales of the Pontiac Sunfire, also made in Lordstown, were 3,259 in September, which was up 21 percent from the 2,690 that were sold in September 2002. For the year, Sunfire sales are down 40 percent, but GM has eliminated the sedan from the lineup for this model year.
Second National opensa 2nd office in Wayne Co.
WARREN -- Second National Bank of Warren has opened a new, full-service banking center in Wooster, its second office in the Wayne County community. Second National Bank's other facility at Liberty Commons in Wooster will remain open as a loan production facility.
Investors group plansconference, showcase
INDEPENDENCE -- The Northeast Ohio Chapter of the National Association of Investors Corp. will sponsor its 40th annual Investment Conference and Exhibitors' Showcase from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Hilton Cleveland South. The chapter has several members in the Mahoning and Shenango valleys.
