Jewelers to close storeafter 17 years of business
AUSTINTOWN -- Joseph and Rose McCormick, who have owned McCormick Jewelers for 17 years, are retiring and closing their store. They expect to be selling their inventory until Christmas.
They opened the store in 1986 in the Stan-Jim Professional Building and moved to their current location in Falcon Center, 5015 Mahoning Ave., three years later.
Joseph McCormick became involved with jewelry at first by selling to individual customers while holding another full-time job. He became a partner in McClain Jewelers in 1974 and stayed with that company until 1979.
