WORLD CUP ROUNDUP Sunday's other games

Sweden 3, Nigeria 0
COLUMBUS -- Sweden's Hanna Ljungberg scored two goals. Malin Andersson helped set up Ljungberg's first goal in the 56th minute with a long kick to the right of the goal. Victoria Svensson kept the ball in play, kicking it back in front of the goal. Ljungberg headed it in before Nigerian goaltender Precious Dede could react. The Swedes sealed the victory with two goals in a one-minute span. Ljungberg scored in the 80th minute on an assist from Therese Sjoegran, who beat defender Ifeaniyichukwu Chiejine. Malin Moestroem scored on a breakaway seconds later for a 3-0 lead. Dede had dominated until Ljungberg's goal, making diving stops and leaping high to deflect high shots over the bar. She had nine saves in the first half.
China 1, Russia 0
PORTLAND, Ore. -- Bai Jie scored in the 16th minute as China claimed first place in Group D. China plays Canada on Thursday, while Russia, the runner-up in group D, will play Germany. China jumped out early when Bai got past Russia goalkeeper Alla Volkova, who ran helplessly behind. Despite increased pressure in the second half, Russia had no luck against China goalkeeper Han Wenxia. Vera Stroukova came closest with a free kick that narrowly missed the goal. Volkova made a critical save in the 77th minute when Bai charged at her alone and she unflinchingly blocked the shot.
Ghana 2, Australia 1
PORTLAND, Ore. -- Alberta Sackey scored a pair of goals to lead Ghana to its first-ever victory in World Cup competition. Ghana went on the attack early. Mavis Dgajmah challenged Melissa Barbieri with shot that went off the Australia goalkeeper's fingertips and over the crossbar. Adjoa Bayor's shot a minute later also hit the crossbar before sailing into the stands. Barbieri made a pair of dramatic saves, first tipping Sackey's hard kick from out in front just over the goal, then fending off Sackey's header off a corner kick. But Barbieri wasn't able to stop Sackey's next shot, which bounced off Australia captain Cheryl Salisbury and over the leaping goalkeeper's outstretched arms in the 33rd minute. Sackey then took advantage when Barbieri fell trying to defend her shot in the 39th minute. Australia defender Dianne Alagich tried to make the save but the rebound went right back to Sackey, who scored. Australia narrowed it in the 66th minute when Heather Garriock took a pass from Kelly Golebiowski and beat Ghana goalkeeper Memunatu Sulemana.
