Vows renewed by Mathenys on anniversary

XAUSTINTOWN -- Mr. and Mrs. Bud Matheny, 89 Kleber Ave., will renew their marriage vows today at Idaho Road Alliance Church, where they are members, to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.
Afterward they will be honored by family and friends during a reception at the church.
The festivities began Saturday night as the couple were feted at a family dinner party held at Johnny's Restaurant.
Hosts for the events are the couple's children and their spouses, David and Doreen Matheny of Youngstown, Danny and Gina Matheny of Youngstown, and Denzil Matheny Jr. of Brookfield and his fiance, Laurie Rensteele, also of Brookfield. There are eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren in the family.
Mr. Matheny and the former Shirley Paugh were married Nov. 30, 1953, in Grafton, W.Va.
Mr. Matheny retired from LTV Steel Corp., where he was an inspector. His wife is a homemaker.
