Surprise party held for Nadzams on anniversary

XELLSWORTH -- Family and friends gathered at A La Carte Catering in Canfield on Nov. 14 to honor Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Nadzam, 7340 Rolling Hills Drive, who were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.
Hosts for the event were the couple's children and their spouses, Pam and Joe Golec of Dillsburg, Pa.; Nadine and Steve Martin of Ellsworth; and Drew and Carla Nadzam of Jonesboro, Ark.; Nancy and Chris Connors and Lisa and Mark Velker, all of Canfield; and their 12 grandchildren.
Mr. Nadzam and the former Rosemary Kreuzer exchanged nuptial vows Nov. 14, 1953, at St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church in Youngstown.
Mrs. Nadzam graduated from Kent State University and started her career at WKBN as "Miss Rosemary" in The Romper Room, a children's TV show. She taught learning disability students at St. Christine School before retiring in 1991.
Mr. Nadzam also graduated from KSU and retired in 1982 from Youngstown Board of Education.
