Family holds dinner, dance for Brinkers



XCOLUMBIANA -- Das Dutch Village Inn was the setting Oct. 25 for a dinner and dance held in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Arch Brinker, 403 Windjammer Drive, as the couple celebrated 50 years of marriage.
Invitations for the event were issued by the couple's family, Dr. Debra Brinker of Dublin; Kathy and Jeff Kesling of LaPorte, Ind.; and Marci Brinker of Orlando, Fla. There are three grandsons in the family.
Mr. Brinker and the former Mary Wolz were united in marriage Oct. 24, 1953, at Centenary United Methodist Church, East Palestine, where they are members. They lived in New Waterford before moving to Columbiana.
Mr. Brinker served with the U.S. Air Force from 1948 to 1953 and was stationed at Furst Fen Feld Bruck, Germany. He was employed by the U.S. Postal Service and served as postmaster in New Waterford for 28 years before retiring in 1988. His wife is a homemaker.
