HEALTH CARE
FARRELL, Pa. -- Dr. Brent E. Angott, a general surgeon, has joined the UPMC Horizon medical staff. A 1994 Graduate of Westminster College, Dr. Angott has a bachelor's degree in molecular biology and earned his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed an internship and a four-year general surgery residency with Pinnacle Health System in Harrisburg, Pa. He has a practice in New Castle and a satellite office in Hermitage.
NILES -- Diane Boyarko has been named assistant director of nursing for Shepherd of the Valley in Niles. She was previously director of nursing for Windsor House, Inc., based in Girard. Boyarko has an associate's degree in nursing and a dual bachelor's degree in nursing and management, all from Youngstown State University. She lives in New Springfield.
BANKING
YOUNGSTOWN -- Home Savings and Loan Company has promoted Pamela J. Raidel to assistant vice president and branch sales manager of its Austintown Office and has named Stacie R. Johns branch sales manager at its Newport Glen Office.
Raidel, formerly the branch sales manager at the Newport Glen Office, has been with the bank since 1997, serving in a number of capacities, including customer service manager and loan officer. A lifelong area resident, she is a graduate of Girard High School and has a bachelor's degree from Youngstown State University. She has over 18 years of banking experience and lives in Austintown.
Johns comes to the bank with more than 11 years of banking experience. She is a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and has an associate's degree in accounting from Kent State University. She lives in Warren.
WARREN -- Second National Bank has promoted Stephen J. Abraham to vice president, credit manager, and has appointed Mark E. Taylor to assistant vice president, commercial loan officer, at the Tippecanoe Financial Center.
Abraham joined the bank in August, 2002, as assistant vice president, commercial lender, at the Beachwood Financial Services Center and had more than seven years of banking experience. He has a bachelor's degree in history and political science from the University of Toledo.
Taylor joined the bank in October, bringing more than 16 years of experience in the financial industry. He has a bachelor's degree in economics from Youngstown State University.
RESTAURANT
HOWLAND -- The Avalon Inn & amp; Resort has added Jimmy Chieffo to its staff at Ristorante Allora, an Italian and American restaurant at the inn. Chieffo had been owner and executive chef at Jimmy Chieffo's American-Italian Cuisine restaurant in Warren. There will also be an introduction of a new menu, reflective of Chieffo's culinary experience, which will add his culinary expertise to the transformation at the Avalon Inn & amp; Resort.
