HARTFORD, Conn. -- Diana Taurasi scored 27 of her 31 points in the first half and top-ranked Connecticut pulled away to beat Florida State. Taurasi poured in 12 points during a 22-7 run in the final 7:50 of the first half, allowing the Huskies (2-0) to turn a tie game into a 50-35 advantage. Florida State (1-1) came into the game off one of its most lopsided victories, a 107-28 rout of Savannah State.
No. 2 Texas 89, UCLA 58
AUSTIN, Texas -- Freshman Tiffany Jackson had 19 points and 12 rebounds in her home debut, leading Texas over UCLA. Jamie Carey scored 16 points as the Longhorns (3-0) ran their home winning streak to 21 games. Texas shot 57 percent from the floor. Lisa Willis scored 17 points for the Bruins (1-1) -- making five of UCLA's nine 3-pointers.
No. 6 Stanford 75, San Francisco 50
STANFORD, Calif. -- Nicole Powell scored 28 points, and Stanford extended its winning streak against San Francisco to 12 games. Kelley Suminski added 11 points for the Cardinal (3-0), who won at home for the 28th time in 29 games. Krista Rappahahn had 10 points and Kristen Newlin 10 rebounds. Mary Jane Krueger scored 12 points for San Francisco (1-1).
Old Dominion 75, No. 7 Penn St. 68
NORFOLK, Va. -- Monique Coker had 26 points and 11 rebounds to lead Old Dominion in the upset. Coker was 10-for-13 from the field, and Old Dominion (2-2) held leading Penn State scorer Kelly Mazzante to 14 points. Jess Strom and Reicina Russell paced the Lady Lions (1-1) with 17 points each. Max Nhassengo added 16 points, for the Lady Monarchs.
No. 8 Purdue 88, Wisconsin-Milwaukee 60
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Shereka Wright and Katie Gearlds had 17 points and five rebounds apiece for Purdue. The Boilermakers (2-1) broke away with a 15-3 run midway through the first half, then closed with an 11-4 spurt for a 49-28 lead at the break. Wisconsin-Milwaukee (1-2) was led by Maria Viall, who had 23 points and 12 rebounds.

STATESBORO, Ga. -- Sherill Baker scored 21 points for Georgia. Georgia (2-0) got consecutive 3-pointers from Cori Chambers during a 12-0 run that gave the Lady Bulldogs a 32-12 lead midway through the first half. Jessica Everett led Georgia Southern (1-1) with 14 points.
No. 11 Minnesota 73, Drake 50
DES MOINES, Iowa -- Janel McCarville scored 22 points and Shannon Schonrock added 20 -- including six 3s -- for Minnesota. The Gophers (3-0) dominated inside with McCarville hauling down 13 rebounds while hitting nine of 15 shots. But Lindsay Whalen was held to 14 points -- 11 below her average. Mandy Kappel and Jill Martin led the Bulldogs (0-2) with 11 points apiece.
No. 13 North Carolina 75, Kentucky 59
LEXINGTON, Ky. -- LaTangela Atkinson and Nikita Bell led a second-half surge that carried North Carolina over Kentucky. Atkinson led the Tar Heels (3-0) with 17 points and 11 rebounds, and Bell scored 16 points. Atkinson scored 13 points in the second half and Bell 12 after the break. Sara Potts had 16 points and nine rebounds for the Wildcats (2-1).
No. 14 Ohio St. 70, N.C.-Wilmington 42
COLUMBUS -- Caity Matter scored 20 points and Ashley Allen added 15 for Ohio State. The Buckeyes (3-0) hit 12-of-18 3-point shots, while the Seahawks (0-2) were just 2-of-17. Matter was 5-of-9 on 3-pointers and Allen hit all four of her attempts. Shannon Presswood led the North Carolina-Wilmington with 10 points.

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -- Lindsay Taylor blocked four shots to break the Santa Barbara school record with 181, and added 23 points and eight rebounds. Mia Fisher added 15 points and Lisa Willett 10 to help Santa Barbara (3-1) extend the nation's second-longest home winning streak to 26 games. Shawntinice Polk had 20 points and 11 rebounds for Arizona (1-1).

SPOKANE, Wash. -- Andrea Bills had 16 points and eight rebounds to spark Oregon. Reserve forward Carolyn Ganes scored 14 of her 15 points in the second half for Oregon (3-0), and point guard Corrie Mizusawa tied the school record with 14 assists. Ashley Burke led Gonzaga (1-2) with 16 points.
