AUXILIARIES
XCapt. Charles M. Marino Auxiliary of the Italian-American Veterans Centre will hold a Christmas party at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the post at 113 S. Meridian Road. The cost is $7 for members and $12 for guests. Reservations must be made by Monday by calling (330) 793-5213.
XPoland Fire Department Auxiliary will hold its Christmas party at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Selah's Catering Service. Special certificates will be given to members who served hot and cold drinks to firefighters during emergency calls, and a donation will be made to the Firemen's Association for its "Christmas at Our House" needy baskets. Pam Guy will give final details on the children's Christmas party with Santa scheduled for Dec. 6 at Station 91.
XVFW 7538 Auxiliary will meet Wednesday for dinner at 6 p.m. at The Elmton, Fifth Street, Struthers. Dorothy McLaughlin will preside for the 7:30 p.m. business session. For reservations call Eleanor Goskie, (330) 755-2051, by Monday. Dues are to be paid.

XKent State University Mothers Club will meet for a casserole dinner at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Georgeanna Parker Activity Center in Boardman Township Park. Those attending should take a table service, a casserole and $5 gift exchange item. The afghan drawing will be held. Tickets and money should be returned to Mary Schaade. XPoland Center Homemakers will meet at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday for a Christmas party at the Olive Garden in Boardman. There will be $5 gift exchange. There will be no meeting in January.

XGirard Knights of Columbus Council 2935 is having a Light Up for Christ Night on Tuesday starting with Mass at 7 p.m. at St. Rose Church. Afterward the group will meet outside to light the manger, then a social will be held in the lower level of the church. St. Rose parishioners and friends are welcome. The church will provide cookies; coffee and drinks will also be available.
