CHAMPAIGN, Ill. -- Lakiste Barkus scored 16 points, and No. 12 Louisiana Tech withstood a late rally by Illinois. Trina Frierson and Erica Smith-Taylor added 14 points apiece for the Lady Techsters (2-0), who scored just three points over the final 7:18. Amisha Carter finished with 13 points. Tiffanie Guthrie had 23 points and 11 rebounds for Illinois (1-1). Angelina Williams scored 11 and Erin Wigley added 10.
No. 19 Oklahoma 83, SE Missouri 48
NORMAN, Okla. -- Leah Rush scored 16 points and Caton Hill added 14 to lead for Oklahoma. The Sooners (2-0) turned the game into a rout early, going on a 14-2 run midway through the first half to take a 20-8 lead. Southeast Missouri State (1-2) shot only 30 percent was 2-of-20 from 3-point range. Chandra Brown led the losers with 16 points and seven rebounds.
No. 23 TCU 74, SMU 64
DALLAS -- Amy Pack scored 19 points, and Tiffany Evans had 17 points and seven rebounds to lead TCU. Pack made seven of 11 shots for the Lady Frogs (2-0), and Evans was seven for 13. Ebony Shaw added 14 points for TCU while Sandora Irvin scored nine points and had 17 rebounds -- including 12 under SMU's basket. Kaira White led SMU (0-1) with 17 points.
Geneva 68, Carlow 57
BEAVER FALLS, Pa. -- Jen Rawding poured in 30 points and Ali Cananzi added 11 points as Geneva (5-1) defeated Carlow (1-6). Rawding shot 12-of-17 from the floor and was 6-of-6 from the foul line while adding seven rebounds, four assists and two steals.
