Calls for police assistance received April-October 2002 and 2003, as well as the number of arrests and crimes recorded each month. Police may respond to a call and find a crime hasn't occurred. Also listed are the average number of calls per officer per shift in 2002 and from April-October 2003, when the number of officers on duty for each shift was reduced from six to five because of layoffs.
