GETTING IT RIGHT

UThe Mahoning County Veterans Service Commission office is open Wednesday until 4:30 p.m. It was reported in Sunday's Vindicator that the office would be closed Wednesday.
UA comment in Saturday's paper from Mike Greenfield of Boardman about the assassination of President Kennedy appeared incorrectly. The comment should have read: "We watched in silence punctuated by muted crying. All except for two kids, who fancied themselves the class clowns and were actually laughing and cracking jokes the whole time. To this day, I remember their names, can still see their faces. I've never forgotten this as a lesson in how inhuman it's possible for human beings to be at any age."
UThe rock band Effortless will play the Empty Glass Sports Bar in Elkton on Dec. 31 and the Heritage Inn in Salem on Jan. 31. The date of the Elkton appearance was incorrect in a story Sunday.
