Chamber urges companiesto go to Dec. 11 summit
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber is encouraging area manufacturing companies to send representatives to the Ohio Manufacturing Summit from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 11 at the Hyatt Regency in Columbus.
The chamber said it's important for Mahoning Valley companies to explain their needs to state and federal officials. If there is enough interest, the chamber intends to arrange for group transportation to Columbus. Call the chamber at (330) 744-2131, Ext. 12, for more information.

T.J. Maxx workers leave
EVANSVILLE, Ind. -- More than 200 workers at a T.J. Maxx distribution center in southern Indiana have walked away from their jobs since the company asked to see immigration documents to determine whether employees were working legally in the United States.
