NHL ROUNDUP Saturday's games

Penguins 2, Senators 1, OT
PITTSBURGH -- Rookie Ryan Malone scored off a rebound at 2:40 of overtime. A backhander by Mike Eastwood was stopped by Senators goaltender Patrick Lalime, but Malone scooped up the rebound and scored his fifth goal of the season and second in overtime. Zdeno Chara's power-play goal midway through the third period tied the game at 1-all. Pittsburgh goalie Sebastien Caron finished with 31 saves in his first home victory since April 2. Tomas Surovy scored his first goal of the season early in the first period for the Penguins, who snapped a three-game losing streak. The Senators have won just three of their last 11 games (3-5-0-3).
Blue Jackets 2, Islanders 1
COLUMBUS -- Rick Nash scored his 12th goal midway through the second period and won a key faceoff before the other Columbus score. With the New York goalie pulled, Oleg Kvasha spoiled Fred Brathwaite's shutout bid by jamming in the puck with 41 seconds remaining in the game. Brathwaite, filling in for starter Marc Denis who sat out with the flu, made 24 saves and nearly recorded his first shutout with the Blue Jackets. The Islanders have lost two straight and have only two wins in seven games. Todd Marchant made it 2-0, redirecting a point shot from Jaroslav Spacek with just 0.9 seconds remaining in the second period.
Flyers 3, Bruins 2
PHILADELPHIA -- Mark Recchi's power-play goal broke a tie, helping Philadelphia extend its unbeaten streak to nine games. Justin Williams and Simon Gagne also scored for the Flyers, 8-0-1 in their last nine games. Brian Rolston scored both of Boston's goals in a span of 32 seconds in the second period.
Panthers 3, Capitals 2, OT
WASHINGTON -- Stephen Weiss scored 1:43 into overtime and Florida snapped a three-game losing streak. Weiss took a feed from Viktor Kozlov, barreled past Washington defenseman Brendan Witt in the slot and beat goaltender Olaf Kolzig for his fourth goal of the season. Robert Lang scored on a goal-mouth scramble with 59.6 seconds remaining in regulation, extending his point scoring streak to a career-high 11 games. It is the longest streak in the NHL this season. Standing in front of goaltender Roberto Luongo, Lang needed two tries to push the puck in for his team-leading 11th goal. Florida broke an 0-6-1 winless streak against Washington and improved to 3-4 since general manager Rick Dudley replaced Mike Keenan as coach. Kozlov and Kristian Huselius also scored for the Panthers, who last beat the Capitals on Jan. 7, 2002. Jaromir Jagr had a goal and assist for Washington.
