Ohio (Closing date): Squirrel (Jan. 31); ruffed grouse (Feb. 29); deer archery (Jan. 31); wild turkey archery (Nov. 30); Hunting and trapping seasons for fox, raccoon, opossum, skunk, and weasel are now open and close Jan. 31, 2004. The trapping season for mink and muskrat is open through Feb. 29, 2004 (Exceptions are Erie, Ottawa and Sandusky counties, and in Lucas County east of the Maumee River where raccoon, mink and muskrat trapping seasons will remain open through March 15, 2004). Ohio's beaver-trapping season opens Dec. 26 across the state, except in the northeast zone (north of I-76 and east of I-77) when the season opens Jan. 10, 2004. Beaver season closes statewide Feb. 29, 2004. Pennsylvania: Squirrel (Nov. 29, Dec. 15-23 and Dec. 26 to Feb. 7); and ruffed grouse, (Nov. 29, Dec. 15-23 and Dec. 26 to Jan. 10); cottontail rabbit, (Nov. 29, Dec. 15 -23 and Dec. 26-Feb. 7; bobwhite quail (Nov. 29).Gun show: Mahoning Valley Gun Collectors, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Dec. 6, 7, Jan. 3, 4, Lowellville Rod & amp; Gun Club, Quarry Road, Lowellville.

The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary will conduct its 13-week boating skills and seamanship course starting Jan. 14 at 7:30 p.m. in the Hubbard High School cafeteria.
