PENNSYLVANIA Hospital auxiliaries at Greenville, Shenango Valley set tree-lightings



UPMC Horizon Greenville and Shenango Valley auxiliaries will have their annual "Memories in Lights" tree-lighting ceremonies Dec. 7 and Dec. 12, respectively.
Tree-trimming at the Greenville facility begins at 4:30 p.m. in the main lobby with tree-lighting at 5 p.m. on the front lawn.
Dean Eckenrode, president and CEO of UPMC Horizon, will speak, and members of Reynolds High School Chorus will provide entertainment. Refreshments will be available.
The Shenango Valley hospital in Farrell will have its ceremony at 2:30 p.m. in the main lobby.
Lights and personalized angel ornaments will be available at the Greenville hospital, and personalized ornaments will be available at the Shenango hospital for a $5 minimum donation per name. Ornaments can be purchased in honor or memory of a loved one.
The names of the honorees and donors will be recorded at Greenville in the Memories Registry, which will be on display in the lobby throughout the holiday season.
Forms for "Memories in Lights" are available in the Sunny Horizons Gift Shop there and can either be dropped off at the shop or mailed to Marie Julian, 168 S. Mercer St., Greenville 16125. The deadline for ordering is Friday.
Donations for the Shenango Valley facility should be sent, along with the donor's name, address, phone number, and the name of the honored/remembered person, to Shirley Miller, Hospitality Shop, 2200 Memorial Drive, Farrell, Pa. 16121. Checks should be made payable to UPMC Horizon, Shenango Valley Auxiliary.
All proceeds benefit auxiliary projects, including the renovation of the Greenville hospital chapel, and in Farrell, for hospital improvements and scholarships for local students studying medicine.
