Gift drive to benefit Beaver County kids

MONACA, Pa. -- The Beaver Valley Area Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association at Penn State Beaver's annual Holiday Gift Drive for Beaver County Children and Youth Services is under way. Gifts may be purchased until Dec. 10.
Cash donations are also welcome, and chapter members will use the money to buy gifts for the children. Last year, 100 children received gifts.
The chapter also is sponsoring a sale of Old-Fashioned Penn State Cookie Tins, with cookies baked by the professional food services staff on campus.
Each ready-to-give, wrapped cookie tin is $18. All orders must be pre-paid and received by Dec. 3. Proceeds benefit scholarships for Beaver campus students.
The chapter's annual membership drive also is under way. Anyone can join by paying an annual dues fee of $10. You need not be a Penn State graduate or have attended Penn State to join.
