NEW YORK -- Karl Malone was one of three Lakers to make more free throws than the Knicks attempted, helping Los Angeles end its three-game road losing streak. The Lakers had a 47-6 edge in free throw attempts in a game that featured 53 fouls -- 34 on the Knicks. Malone had 17 points and 14 rebounds, Shaquille O'Neal had 23 points and Kobe Bryant added 21 as the Lakers won with ease against a Knicks team that was without Keith Van Horn, who sat out with a sprained ankle. The Lakers were 37-for-47 at the line, while New York was 6-for-6.
Hornets 81, Celtics 73
BOSTON -- Baron Davis scored 17 points, and P.J. Brown added 12 points and 16 rebounds as New Orleans won its fourth straight. Jamaal Magloire had 15 points and 12 rebounds for the Hornets, who outrebounded the Celtics 50-31. Paul Pierce scored 23 points for the Celtics, who were held to a season-low in points. Boston has dropped six of nine.
76ers 81, Raptors 75
TORONTO -- Marc Jackson scored a season-high 23 points, Aaron McKie added 21 and Philadelphia won despite playing without starters Allen Iverson, Glenn Robinson and Derrick Coleman. Eric Snow had 18 points, eight assists and six rebounds, and Kenny Thomas added 13 rebounds and 12 points for the 76ers. Vince Carter scored 20 points for the Raptors.
Pacers 91, Clippers 78
INDIANAPOLIS -- Al Harrington scored 22 points and grabbed nine rebounds for Indiana. Jeff Foster added 11 points and 14 rebounds for the Pacers. Keyon Dooling led the Clippers with 18 points and five assists.
Rockets 85, Warriors 83
HOUSTON -- Yao Ming scored 23 points and supplied almost all of Houston's offense in the fourth quarter. Yao had 15 of the Rockets' 21 points in the final period. Steve Francis scored 23 points for Houston. Maurice Taylor returned from a six-game suspension and scored seven points in 15 minutes. Clifford Robinson scored a season-high 23 points for the Warriors. Erick Dampier had 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Kings 118, Jazz 110
SALT LAKE CITY -- Peja Stojakovic scored 30 points and Sacramento handed Utah its first home loss of the season. Mike Bibby finished with 18 points and Brad Miller had 17 points and 13 rebounds for Sacramento. Carlos Arroyo had 25 points and eight assists and Andrei Kirilenko scored 22 for the Jazz.
Nuggets 94, Bucks 86
DENVER -- Andre Miller hit a basket in the lane with 2:33 remaining, capping an 8-0 run for Denver. Miller finished with 17 points and eight assists. Francisco Elson added 15 points and Voshon Lenard 14. Rookie Carmelo Anthony had 13 points and 11 rebounds after going scoreless in the first half. Tim Thomas scored 25 points and Michael Redd 24 for the Bucks.
Pistons 99, Grizzlies 92
MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Detroit's Chauncey Billups scored a season-high 33 points, including 14 during a key third-quarter rally. Mike Miller and Lorenzen Wright scored 18 points apiece for Memphis.
Trail Blazers 94, Heat 93
PORTLAND, Ore. -- Qyntel Woods hit two free throws with 0.4 seconds remaining for Portland. Rasheed Wallace had 21 points and 11 rebounds for the Blazers. Zach Randolph added 17 points and 10 rebounds. Eddie Jones scored 26 points and rookie Dwyane Wade added 24 to lead the Heat.
