Avalanche 2, Mighty Ducks 1
DENVER -- Teemu Selanne scored with 1:49 left in overtime, lifting the Colorado Avalanche to victory over the Anaheim Mighty Ducks. Selanne took a pass from Rob Blake and beat goalie Jean-Sebastien Giguere from the slot. Colorado's Adam Foote and Anaheim's Vaclav Prospal scored 1:26 apart late in the third period. Giguere stopped 38 shots, and Colorado's David Aebischer made 24 saves. The Avalanche were without two of their top forwards -- Peter Forsberg and former Anaheim star Paul Kariya -- because of injuries.
Flyers 2, Hurricanes 2
RALEIGH, N.C. -- Jeff O'Neill and Nic Wallin scored third-period goals to help Carolina snap Philadelphia's six-game winning streak. Carolina trailed 2-0 before O'Neill got the Hurricanes back in it midway through the third, scoring his first goal in 11 games on the power play. Wallin tied it with 2:19 left, crashing the net as the puck trickled behind Jeff Hackett. Carolina's Kevin Weekes, who had 41 saves, stopped Eric Desjardins on a breakaway with 1:44 left in overtime. Simon Gagne and Sami Kapanen gave the Flyers a two-goal lead in the first 6:06 of the third.
Sharks 2, Rangers 2
SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Marco Sturm scored a power-play goal with 9:01 left in regulation to give San Jose its NHL-leading eighth tie. Bobby Holik and Chris Simon scored 17 seconds apart in the second period for the Rangers, who blew a two-goal lead but still kept the Sharks winless in nine home games this season. Alex Korolyuk also scored for the Sharks before leaving with an apparent injury from a knee-on-knee hit by Jamie Lundmark.
Canucks 5, Canadiens 4, OT
VANCOUVER, British Columbia -- Canucks defenseman Mattias Ohlund scored with 1:58 left in overtime. Ed Jovanovksi had two third-period goals, and Sami Salo and Brendan Morrison also scored to help the Canucks end a three-game losing streak and improve to 8-0-1 at home. Richard Zednik scored twice, and Micheal Ryder and Andrei Markov added goals for Montreal.
Flames 3, Maple Leafs 2, OT
CALGARY, Alberta -- Toni Lydman scored 1:24 into overtime for Calgary, extending Toronto's winless streak to four games. Lydman scored off a rebound after goalie Ed Belfour made a kick save on Steven Reinprecht's backhand shot. Reinprecht finished with a goal and two assists, Dean McAmmond also scored for Calgary, and Jarome Iginla had three assists. Mats Sundin and Bryan McCabe scored for the Maple Leafs.
Oilers 5, Blackhawks 2
EDMONTON, Alberta -- Radek Dvorak had two goals and an assist and Ty Conklin made 33 saves for Edmonton. Raffi Torres, Ethan Moreau and Jarrett Stoll also scored for Edmonton. Mark Bell and Scott Nichol scored for the Blackhawks, winless in six games.
