CAMPUS NOTES | In the spotlight



BALDWIN-WALLACE COLLEGE, Berea
Sophomores Michael Finamore, a biology major, and Alissa Marshal, a psychology major, have been inducted into the Alpha Lambda Honor Society at the college, for having achieved grade point averages of at least 3.5 during their first two semesters. Both students are from Youngstown.
UNIVERSITY OF AKRON
Robert E. Norman of Girard has been inducted into the National Society of Collegiate scholars, a selective, national, nonprofit honors organization that recognizes first- and second-year students who excel academically. Norman, a 1998 civil-engineering technology graduate of Youngstown State University, is also a member of the Tau Alpha Pi National Honor society for Engineering Technology. He is married to Nancy Norman.
ASHLAND UNIVERSITY
Education major Rebecca Hahn of Poland served as dramaturge in the Theatre Department's fall production of Brian Friel's "Dancing at Lughnasa," portraying the lives of five unmarried sisters in the 1936 Irish countryside. She is the daughter of Shirley and Dean Hahn.
History major Megan O'Leary of Liberty is a member of the university's Marksmanship Club, a group introducing nonshooters to the sport. She is a 2001 Liberty High school graduate.
UNIVERSITY OF TOLEDO
The following mechanical engineering students are participating in the fall 2003 Mechanical, Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering Department Senior Design Clinic on Dec. 12.
Jim Feaster of Canfield will present "Adaptation of a 1991 Dodge Shadow," sponsored by the National Science Foundation. A 1999 Austintown Fitch High School graduate, he is the son of Lori and Jim Feaster of Canfield.
Robert J. Godiciu Jr. of Cortland will present "Pool Deck Transfer Stool," sponsored by the National Science Foundation. A 1999 Lakewood High School graduate, he is the son of Margret Jane Newcomeb and Robert J. Godiciu Sr.
Allyson Jones of Austintown will present "Clinic Transfer System," sponsored by the National Science Foundation. A 2000 Fitch High School graduate, she is the daughter of Denise R. Jones.
Michael Joseph of Niles will present "Indoor Lift for the Cooley Canal Yacht Club," sponsored by the club. A 1999 Niles McKinley High School graduate, he is the son of Lori and Mark Joseph.
EARLHAM COLLEGE, Richmond, Ind.
Sophomore Farrah Rivello of Youngstown performed in the college's Gospel Revelations Homecoming Concert in October. The gospel choir learns and performs gospel music and provides instruction on gospel traditions and the theology of music.
She is the daughter of Robert Rivello and Christine Ann Gifford Rivello.
