* Youngstown State University's Dana Chorale and University Chorus will present, "Life, Joy and Praise," under the direction of Dr. Hae-Jong Lee. The free concert starts at 4 p.m. in Bliss Recital Hall. The 57-member University Chorus and the 24-member Dana Chorale recently performed to a packed house at the Butler Museum of Art. * They're not revealing the title, but the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library will screen a free pre-Thanksgiving "turkey of a movie" at 2 p.m. Here's a clue: Lon Chaney Jr. stars in the 1959 flick as a hook-handed, swamp-dwelling boozer who tangles with a mad scientist. * Ed's Redeeming Qualities, a recently reunited rock band that mixes humor with quirky charm, will headline a variety show to benefit the annual Dom Leone Writing Competition. It will be held Nov. 29 at 7 p.m. in Ursuline High School's Deibel-Morley Arts Center on Bryson Street in Youngstown. A donation of $3 for students and $5 for adults will be taken at the door. Other entertainers on the bill include The Spurs of the Moment, the Lipsey Mountain Spring Band, Perth Amboy Society Tea Orchestra, Sweatin' Like a Bulldog and the Finelli School of Dance.
