OSU-MICHIGAN 100th game notes



Michigan leads the all-time series 56-37-6. Ohio State has won two straight. From 1985-2000, the Wolverines went 11-3-1, including 10-2-1 against Ohio State coach John Cooper.
The Wolverines won the first-ever meeting, 34-0, in Ann Arbor in 1897. The teams then tied, 0-0, in their next meeting in 1900. The teams did not play from 1913-1917.
Since 1922, more people (6,902,240) have attended the Ohio State-Michigan game than any other matchup in the country. Michigan-Michigan State is second with 6,030,250. Last year's OSU-Michigan game set an Ohio Stadium attendance record with 105,539. Michigan has led the country in attendance every season since 1974 except 1997.
During the 10 seasons when Ohio State coach Woody Hayes and Michigan coach Bo Schembechler met, the two schools won or shared every Big Ten title.
Michigan has a 29-17-4 record against the Buckeyes in Ann Arbor and a 27-20-2 record in Columbus. UM's longest winning streak against OSU was nine games (1901-09), while the Bucks have won four straight twice.
The Wolverines and Buckeyes have each won 15 outright Big Ten titles, but UM holds the edge in total titles (40-29). Minnesota is third with 18.
