PAGEANT Canfield girl to compete for Miss Ohio USA title

PORTSMOUTH -- An area resident will be among those competing for the Miss Ohio USA title during a competition to be held Nov. 20-23 at the Vern Riffe Center for the Arts on the campus of Shawnee State University.
Hailey Arroyo, Miss Northeast Ohio USA, is a daughter of Elise and Harry Arroyo of Canfield, and a 2003 graduate of Ursuline High School. She turned 19 on Nov. 15.
A student at Youngstown State University majoring in criminal justice, Arroyo is also involved in weight-strength training, participates in the YSU Dance Ensemble and helps with the Feed the Children Organization. She is employed at Cornersburg Belleria and the YSU bookstore.
The winner of the Miss Ohio USA pageant will represent the state in the Miss USA Pageant, where she will compete for more than $100,000 in cash and prizes. The pageant will be televised on national network nelevision.
