3 shops in Poland plana Christmas open house
POLAND -- Three village retail stores have planned a Christmas open house from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 22. The businesses -- Stagecoach Antiques Outback, The Village Pantry and Selah at the Old Stone Tavern -- are all on South Main Street.
Krispy Kreme to open,award early customers
BOARDMAN -- Krispy Kreme Doughnuts will open its new store at 796 Boardman-Poland Road at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday.
The first lobby customer will win one dozen doughnuts every week for a year and a recliner from La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries. The next 23 lobby customers will receive a dozen doughnuts a month for a year. Krispy Kreme jerseys also will be given to the first 24 lobby customers.
The North Carolina-based chain operates 325 stores in 42 states and three other countries.
Former owner of IGAopens Country Clutter
BOARDMAN -- Sally Stewart, former longtime owner of Stewart's IGA in Lisbon, is opening a country gift store today in the Southern Park Mall. The store, Country Clutter, is a franchise based in California with about 70 stores across the country, including shops in Canton and Grove City, Pa. It employs five.
Sprint, Easter Sealstake cell-phone donations
Sprint stores in Howland and Youngstown and Easter Seals offices in Warren and Youngstown will be accepting donations of used cellular phones today to mark America Recycles Day. Donations will benefit the Sprint Project connect program, which recycles and resells handsets with a portion of the proceeds going to Easter Seals and the National Organization on Disability. Sprint offices also accept cell phone donations year-round.
