New Castle school board
Here are some of the points that city school board members are considering in a new public-comment policy at their meetings:
The board shall require that all public comments regarding agenda items be made at the beginning of the meeting.
Must be a resident or taxpayer of the district to make public comments.
Those speaking must indicate on a sign-in sheet their name, address and agenda item they want to address.
A five-minute time limit will be set.
All statements should be directed to the presiding officer; no board members can be questioned individually.
