Blue Devils notebook: Jay Yorty is the engine that drives the Blue Devils offense. In the regular season, the quarterback/tailback ran the ball 150 times for 858 yards and 14 touchdowns. He also completed 52 of 102 passes for 891 yards and 10 touchdowns. Last week against Dalton, Yorty led the Devils with 137 yards on 18 carries. Frank Gallo gained 652 yards on 127 carries and scored nine touchdowns.

Eagles notebook: JFK qualified for the playoffs after finishing second in Region 17 and ended 14th in the final AP poll of Ohio's Division V schools. The Eagles run a spread offense, led by 6-foot-4 1/2 senior QB John DiFiore. On the year he's 102-for-179 passing for 1,310 yards and 16 touchdowns. Last week DiFiore ran 10 times for 106 yards and scores of 46 and 54 yards. Shane Golden has 30 catches for 352 yards and five touchdowns. Adam Rossi has 25 receptions for 354 yards and five tallies. The leading Eagle rusher is Anthony Ambeliotis with 212 carries, good for 1,073 yards and 12 touchdowns. Sophomore Anthony Elzy rushed for 78 yards on 17 carries last Friday. Place-kicker Russ Accordino has 49 points. The only previous meeting between the teams took place in 1998 when JFK beat Lisbon in the playoffs, 42-7.
