Nabors' 60th celebrated at champagne buffet



XYOUNGSTOWN -- A champagne buffet Oct. 12 at the MVR Club honored Mr. and Mrs. James Nabors, 8210 Maramount Drive, for the celebration of their 60th wedding anniversary.
The honorees' daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Dennis Moore of Howland and Peg and Bob Dolwick of Liberty, were hosts for the get-together for their family and friends. The family circle also includes five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The former Josephine Malito and Mr. Nabors exchanged marriage vows during a ceremony Oct. 13, 1943, in Cincinnati.
Retiring in 1989, Mrs. Nabors was a registered nurse and worked at St. Elizabeth Health Center and as a private-duty nurse. She served as a flight nurse in the U.S. Army and was stationed in the South Pacific 1943-45. She is a member of Catholic Nurses and World War II Flight Nurses Organization and serves as a volunteer with the American Red Cross.
Mr. Nabors, who is semiretired, is an insurance underwriter with Gallagher-Pipino. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps from 1942-45.
Mr. and Mrs. Nabors are members of American Legion Post 235 in Girard and St. Charles Church in Boardman.
