XYOUNGSTOWN -- Lisa Marie Napoli and William Perry Diekmann, both of Freedom, Ind., exchanged marriage vows before the Revs. Timothy H. O'Neill and Kathryn Hawbaker during a ceremony Oct. 11 at Cathedral of the Pines at the Franciscan Friars Shrine of Our Lady.
Later a reception was held at the D.D. and Velma Davis Education and Visitor Center in Mill Creek Park.
Parents of the bride are Anthony and Margaret Napoli of Boardman. The groom is a son of Will Diekmann of Greenwood, Ind., and Erna Diekmann of St. Petersburg, Fla.
The bride wore an ivory silk gown styled in an A-line design with sweetheart neckline and tiffany train.
The bride's mother was honor attendant, and flower girls were Anna Nash and Gianna and Gabriella Pignatelli, the bride's cousins, and Megan Yohn and Marissa and Caroline Mortellaro, the groom's nieces.
Frederick Mahaffey served as best man. Ushers were the bride's brothers, Anthony Jr. and Dr. James Napoli. Ring bearers were James Nash, her cousin, and Zachary Yohn, the groom's nephew.
The couple honeymooned at Shawnee National Forest's Garden of the Gods and West Baden Springs, French Lick, Ind.
The bride earned a doctorate at Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind., where she is an educator and an administrator for conflict transformation.
The groom, a self-employed stained-glass artist, graduated from Herron University School of Art and Gallery, Indianapolis.
