Food center offers Thanksgiving giveaway

YOUNGSTOWN -- Youngstown Community Food Center & amp; Gleaners Food Bank will have a Thanksgiving food giveaway from 9 to 11 a.m. Nov. 25 at its headquarters, 94 Pyatt St.
The food will be distributed to between 500 to 700 people. Ice cream will be available from the center's staging area.
Families that filled out and returned their Thanksgiving dinner forms will be served dinner Thanksgiving Day from noon until 4 p.m. at St. Nicholas Byzantine Center, 3801 Shady Run Road. Entertainment will be provided.
The food center also is in need of nonperishable items, which can be dropped off at the center from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday.
People who would like to volunteer to help with the Thanksgiving dinner should contact the center at (330) 746-8436 before Nov. 24.
Financial donations, which are tax-deductible, should be made out to Youngstown Community Food Center & amp; Gleaners, P.O. Box 3587, Youngstown 44513.
