Funds for 911 center
WARREN -- Trumbull County commissioners approved spending $442,000 on radios and dispatch consoles for the county 911 center.
Earlier this month, commissioners borrowed $800,000 to replace telephone and radio equipment damaged in flooding this summer. The telephone equipment has not been purchased.
County officials are still embroiled in a dispute with their insurance company over who will pay. So far, the insurer has offered only $70,000 to rehabilitate damaged equipment.
