Management affiliateto meet at Alberini's
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Youngstown district of the National Association of Purchasing Management, a local affiliate of the Institute for Supply Management, will meet at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 18 at Alberini's Restaurant in Niles. Taft reappoints Burgento Small Business council
BOARDMAN -- John Burgen, broker with Burgen Real Estate, has been reappointed to the Small Business Advisory Council by Gov. Bob Taft. His term ends Sept. 10, 2006.
The council advises the governor and executive agencies on how state government can be more efficient, effective and responsive to the needs of small businesses. Members are paid only for their expenses.
KB Toys opens seasonalstore in Boardman Plaza
BOARDMAN -- KB Toys is opening a second Boardman store. KB Toys Express, a seasonal store specializing in toy closeouts and special discounts, opened Monday in the Boardman Plaza and will close Jan. 1. Based in Pittsfield, Mass., KB Toys has regular stores in the Southern Park Mall in Boardman and the Eastwood Mall in Niles.
