Summary of police calls in the city of Canfield and Austintown Township:
CANFIELD
Nov. 5
Possession of deadly weapon: Police arrested a 34-year-old Canfield man on charges of taking weapons onto school property at the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center, 7300 N. Palmyra Road. A school employee said he did not recognize the man as being anyone in adult education classes. The man was stopped in the school parking lot and found to have a crossbow with four arrows, a 5-inch stainless-steel-blade knife and a 3-inch steel-blade knife in his car. He eventually told police he was going to look for a place to hunt.
Nov. 6
Drug abuse/paraphernalia: Police arrested a 16-year-old Youngstown student on charges of possessing a suspected marijuana pipe and about 1.5 grams of suspected marijuana at Canfield High School, 100 Cardinal Drive.
Nov. 9
Drug paraphernalia: Police arrested a 46-year-old Youngstown woman on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia on East Main Street after police found a purple bag with suspected cocaine in it, a scale with a suspected crack or cocaine residue on it and a black vial with suspected cocaine or crack residue in it.

Nov. 2
Felonious assault: A victim reported he was shot at in the 4000 block of Rhode Island Drive.
Nov. 3
Breaking and entering: Vending machines and a safe were cut open and offices were ransacked at Main Steel, 3805 Henricks Road. Company officials also reported a computer and stereo stolen.
Criminal damage: A vehicle was damaged at Bill's Place, 4771 Mahoning Ave.
Attempted auto theft: A 1992 Oldsmobile had its column peeled at an apartment in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.
Theft: A total of $200 was stolen from Coates Car Wash, 5243 Mahoning Ave. An employee is a suspect.
Theft by deception: Money was paid for repairs which were never started at a residence in the 4000 block of Burkey Road.
Burglary: A television and VCR were taken from a residence in the 1000 block of Compass West Apartments.
Theft: A summons was issued for the arrest of a 21-year-old woman on theft charges at Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.
Nov. 4
Theft: Money and a cell phone were stolen from Fitch High School, 4560 Falcon Drive.
Breaking and entering: A tool box was stolen from Main Steel, 3805 Henricks Road.
Criminal damage: A fence was damaged at Trax, 4250 New Road.
Nov. 5
Breaking and entering: A residence in the 3000 block of Oakwood Avenue was broken into but nothing was taken.
Theft from auto: A stereo was taken from a vehicle in the 4000 block of New Road.
Breaking and entering: A garage door was rammed by a truck but nothing was reported stolen in the 1000 block of South Meridian Road.
Attempted breaking and entering: A door was damaged but no entry was gained at Woodside Elementary School.
Theft: A CD player was taken from a vehicle parked in the 60 block of Westminster Avenue.
Breaking and entering: Three men were arrested on charges of breaking and entering at Bits, Bytes and Pieces, 3710 Mahoning Ave.
Nov. 6
Burglary: A man is a suspect in a burglary in the 100 block of North Main Street.
Theft: A CD player, amplifier and several CDs were stolen from a vehicle in the 1000 block of Signature Place.
Attempted burglary: A door was pried open but no entry was gained in the 5000 block of West Webb Road.
Theft: Ohio license plates were stolen from a vehicle.
Theft: Speakers were stolen from a vehicle in the residential 3000 block of Burkey Road.
Theft: A man is accused in a theft at the Interstate Connections, 5440 Seventy-Six Drive.
Nov. 7
Criminal mischief: A vehicle was damaged at the Sandbar, 169 S. Four Mile Run Road.
Theft: Ohio plates were stolen from a vehicle in the 1000 block of Fountain Square Drive.
Attempted burglary: An attempted burglary was reported in the 4000 block of Rhode Island Drive.
Auto theft: A 1988 Oldsmobile 98 was stolen from the 400 block of Pembrook Road.
Criminal damage: A 2003 Hyundai was damaged on Breezewood at Barrington Court.
Theft: A man was accused of theft at the TA Travel Center, 5400 Seventy-Six Drive, and was placed in the Mahoning County jail.
Theft: Several items were taken from a vehicle in the 300 block of Victoria Road.
Nov. 8
Theft: A CD and radar detector were stolen from a vehicle in the 90 block of North Navarre Avenue.
Theft: A wallet and its contents were taken from a vehicle in the 90 block of North Navarre Avenue.
Theft: A 15-year-old female was turned over to her mother after being suspected of stealing merchandise at Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave.
Nov. 9
Theft, criminal damage: A cell phone was taken and a vehicle was damaged at Billy's, 40 S. Meridian Road.
Theft: A purse was taken from a vehicle at Billy's.
Auto theft: A 1995 Ford was taken from Sammy's, 1722 S. Raccoon Road.
Theft: Tarps were stolen from a vehicle in the 400 block of North Canfield-Niles Road.
Theft: A total of $63.59 in food was not paid for at the Roadhouse, 920 N. Canfield-Niles Road.
Theft: Lumber was stolen from the 4000 block of Kirk Road.
Theft: A CD player and cash were stolen from a vehicle at Wal-Mart.
