DETROIT (AP) -- Scott Walker's power-play goal with 57 seconds left capped a four-goal third period, giving the Nashville Predators a 4-3 win over the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday night.
Scott Hartnell, Vladimir Orszagh and Martin Erat also scored for the Predators, who trailed 3-0 going into the third period.
Brendan Shanahan and Tomas Holmstrom each had a goal and an assist, and Kris Draper also scored for the Red Wings.
With the game tied 3-3, Walker tipped in a shot by Marek Zidlicky past Curtis Joseph.
Hartnell tied it with 3:34 left by jamming a shot past Joseph from the side of the net, with Boyd Devereaux hanging onto him.
Orszagh started the Predators' comeback, scoring from the slot 6:47 into the third period. and Erat put in a wrist shot from the blue line with 8:03 remaining to make it 2-0.
Detroit right wing Darren McCarty left the game early in the first period with back spasms after he slid into the boards after being hooked by Erat.
Detroit took a 2-0 lead in the first period. Holmstrom tipped in a shot from the point by Ray Whitney just 14 seconds in, and Draper put in his second attempt at Steve Yzerman's cross-crease pass at 7:24.
Shanahan scored a power play goal with 1:52 left in the second period. His one-timer from the top of the left circle beat Tomas Vokoun.
Notes: The previous game between the teams, a 5-3 win in Nashville on Oct. 30, featured 210 penalty minutes and nine fights. ... Detroit was without defenseman Mathieu Dandenault and forward Jason Williams, both out with groin injuries. ... Newly signed Detroit RW Steve Thomas is still awaiting his U.S. work visa in the Toronto area. GM Ken Holland said the earliest Thomas will join the team is the middle of next week. ... Nashville defenseman Tomas Kloucek took three consecutive penalties in the first period, two for hooking and one for elbowing.
