MAC Kent State tops Ohio on Cribbs' late score
The Golden Flashes rallied from a 17-point deficit to register a 37-33 win.

ATHENS -- Joshua Cribbs scored his fourth touchdown run on a 7-yard sneak with 1:29 remaining to give Kent State a 37-33 win over Ohio on Saturday.
The quarterback also had TD runs of 16, 5 and 4 yards to help the Golden Flashes (4-6, 3-3 Mid-American Conference) rally from a 17-point deficit. Cribbs had 79 yards rushing on 17 carries and was 20-for-36 for 250 yards with one interception.
Brad Young rushed for 73 yards and a touchdown and Ray Huston had 65 yards rushing and two scores for the Bobcats (2-7, 1-4). Ryan Hawk completed 10 of 12 passes for 168 yards.
Akron 40, Cent. Michigan 28
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. -- Charlie Frye threw for 416 yards and two touchdowns to lead Akron.
The Zips (6-5, 4-3 MAC) trailed 21-3 in the second quarter before scoring 27 unanswered points for the win.
Frye also ran for 44 yards to set a new stadium record with 460 yards of total offense.
Central Michigan (3-7, 1-6) took a 14-0 lead on a pair of touchdown passes by Derrick Vickers, before the Zips got on the scoreboard with a 38-yard field goal by Jason Swiger.
Nick Sparks had eight catches for 137 yards and one touchdown for the Zips. Matt Cherry had eight catches for 115 yards and one touchdown.
N. Illinois 40, Buffalo 9
AMHERST, N.Y. -- Josh Haldi threw three touchdown passes and Michael Turner ran for 163 yards, leading No. 23 Northern Illinois.
Turner also rushed for two scores and caught a touchdown pass, and Haldi finished 14-for-25 for 261 yards and one interception.
P.J. Fleck caught four passes for 142 yards, and Shatone Powers hauled in two touchdown passes for the Huskies (9-1, 5-1 MAC), who won their ninth game for only the sixth time in their 102-year history.
Buffalo (1-10, 1-6) trailed 17-9 and had the ball at the Northern Illinois 5-yard line midway through the second quarter, but Jared Patterson fumbled and the Huskies recovered at their own 3 to end the threat.
W. Michigan 28, Ball St. 20
KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- Jon Drach threw for 250 yards and four touchdowns, tying a career high, to lead Western Michigan.
Drach, who replaced Chad Munson as starting quarterback three games ago, completed his last 13 passes, including scoring passes of 44 yards to Kendrick Mosley and 24 yards to Greg Jennings. He finished 20 of 23 with 296 yards.
The win broke a four-game losing streak for Western (4-6, 3-3 MAC), who never trailed in the game. Ball State (3-3, 4-6) lost for the third time in four games.
Ball State quarterback Talmadge Hill threw for 255 yards and rushed two yards for a TD, but was replaced by Andy Roesch in the fourth quarter.
E. Michigan 19, Cent. Florida 13
YPSILANTI, Mich. -- Anthony Sherrell ran for 155 yards and a touchdown on 43 carries to lift Eastern Michigan to its first conference win of the season.
Interim coach Al Lavan, who took over for the remainder of the season after Jeff Woodruff was fired Monday, saw his team score 17 first-half points off three UCF turnovers in taking a 17-13 lead at halftime.
