LPGA Sorenstam fashions 63 again to lead by 6 shots

OTSU, Japan (AP) -- Annika Sorenstam shot a second straight 9-under-par 63 for a six-stroke lead Saturday, closing in on a third straight title at the Mizuno Classic.
The Swede is trying to become the first LPGA Tour player with three consecutive victories in more than one event.
She birdied seven of the first 11 holes and added birdies on the final two.
"I thought I putted really well today," Sorenstam said. "I hit a lot of good iron shots, so I had a lot of tap-ins."
South Koreans Se Ri Pak (65) and Jung Yeon Lee (67) were tied for second at 12 under. Australia's Rachel Teske (65) was another stroke back along with South Korea's Grace Park (68) and Japan's Yuri Fudoh (66).
Only six players have won an LPGA Tour event three straight times, with Sorenstam doing so in the Michelob Light Classic from 1997-99. She also will have three-in-a-row chances next year in the Kellogg-Keebler Classic and Safeway Classic.
Sorenstam can clinch the player of the year award with a victory on Seta's North Course. She leads the tour this year with five victories and $1,745,006 in 15 starts.
Last year at Seta, Sorenstam won the 10th of her 11 2002 LPGA Tour titles. She is seeking her fourth victory in her last five LPGA events in Japan.
Sorenstam said she will try to shoot under 60 in Sunday's final round.
"That's my vision and this is certainly the course to do it on," she said. "There is hardly any wind and the par-5s are reachable except for 18. If I get a few more breaks and a bit of momentum, I'll have a chance."
