Police report episodes with striking workers

STRUTHERS -- Struthers police received three reports regarding issues with striking workers at Astro Shapes, 65 Main St.
About 6 a.m. today, a police officer reported seeing a 38-year-old female striker scratch the vehicle of another female employee, 21, with a key as she drove by strikers, police reports show.
About 6 a.m. Thursday, a Vasco Electric worker told police that about 10 pickets blocked his vehicle on Main Street, and one allegedly claimed to be an off-duty Struthers police officer. Vasco Electric is near Astro Shapes.
A 43-year-old painter reported that about 7 a.m. Wednesday she went to Astro Shapes regarding a work proposal. When she attempted to discuss the proposal with a union representative, a female striker shouted obscenities at her, shoved her and attempted to prevent her from entering her car, police said.
A fourth report, filed earlier this week, came from a man who said his vehicle was damaged by striking workers when he dropped his wife off at Astro Shapes.
