PHILADELPHIA -- Tony Amonte and Jeremy Roenick each had a goal and assist, leading Philadelphia. Robert Esche stopped 20 shots for his fourth straight win, and the Flyers remained unbeaten at home (4-0-2) with their fourth win in five games. Justin Williams and Keith Primeau also scored for Philadelphia. Joel Kwiatkowski and Brian Sutherby had Washington's goals.
Kings 1, Lightning 0, OT
TAMPA, Fla. -- Ziggy Palffy scored with 7.7 seconds remaining in overtime for Los Angeles. Palffy beat Lightning goalie John Grahame from the slot while being pulled down. Los Angeles' Roman Cechmanek made 30 saves for his second shutout of the season and 22nd overall. Grahame had 19 saves.
Islanders 4, Stars 1
UNIONDALE, N.Y. -- Trent Hunter's goal with 3:20 remaining in regulation broke a tie. Shawn Bates iced the game with 1:00 remaining and Michael Peca added an empty-net goal with 5.9 seconds remaining. Mark Parrish scored earlier for the Islanders, 6-1 at home. Rick DiPietro stopped 27 shots. Brendan Morrow scored Dallas' only goal. Marty Turco turned aside 19 shots for the Stars.
Hurricanes 6, Rangers 3
RALEIGH, N.C. -- Light-scoring Craig Adams had two goals to help Carolina snap a three-game losing streak. Carolina beat the Rangers for the first time in six games and earned just its third win with a season-high goal total. The two goals by Adams were his ninth and 10th in 170 career games. Erik Cole finished off the Rangers with an empty-net goal with 49 seconds remaining. Ryan Bayda, Radim Vrbata and rookie Eric Staal also scored for the Hurricanes. The Rangers closed to 4-3 midway through the third when former Carolina forward Jan Hlavac scored on a penalty shot. Alex Kovalev and Martin Rucinsky added New York goals.
Oilers 3, Senators 3
OTTAWA -- Ethan Moreau and Fernando Pisani scored 2:30 apart in the second period and Edmonton overcame a two-goal deficit. Marian Hossa had his second two-goal game of the season, and Peter Schaefer scored a short-handed goal for Ottawa. Backup Martin Prusek made 33 saves in his second start of the season. Brad Isbister also scored for Edmonton.
Sharks 5, Bruins 5
BOSTON -- Sergei Samsonov scored with 13.4 seconds remaining in regulation for Boston. Mike Knuble, Glen Murray, Patrice Bergeron and Ian Moran also scored for Boston. Joe Thornton and Mike Knuble each had two assists. Scott Thornton scored twice and Jonathan Cheechoo, Wayne Primeau and Niko Dimitrakos added goals for the Sharks.
Blues 3, Canucks 2
ST. LOUIS -- Keith Tkachuk scored his second consecutive game-winning goal for St. Louis. St. Louis earned the win despite failing to score on Eric Nickulas' early penalty shot. Rookie Jason King gave the Canucks their 13th one-goal lead in 14 games and Todd Bertuzzi added Vancouver's other goal. Pavol Demitra and Steve Martins also scored for St. Louis.
Avalanche 2, Coyotes 1
DENVER -- Joe Sakic and Milan Hejduk scored third-period goals and Peter Forsberg posted his 500th career assist for Colorado. Avalanche rookie Philippe Sauve made 27 saves to record his first NHL victory. Sean Burke had 29 saves for the Coyotes. Sakic scored his third goal of the season at 2:27 of the final period. It was his 512th career goal, moving him into a tie for 28th in NHL history with Buffalo's Gilbert Perreault. Chris Gratton scored for the Coyotes.
