Herb society officers elected for 2004

GIRARD - The nomination and election of officers who will lead the Girard Herb Society during 2004 took place during a meeting on Oct. 21 at the First Baptist Church.
Marie Borocz was named president of the organization, and her associate officers are Jean Hafely, vice president; Carol Papalas, secretary; and Fran Wilson, treasurer.
Serving on a program committee during the coming season will be Patricia Tarajack, Joanne Stringer and Marie Borocz.
A meeting was planned for 6 p.m. Nov. 18 at the home of Borocz, and the hostess will demonstrate how to make a Christmas arrangement. Refreshments will be provided by Carol and Linda Sipusic.
