YOUNGSTOWN -- Anyone who wants to properly dispose of an American flag can attend a flag-disposal ceremony at 1 p.m. Saturday at American Legion Post 472, 323 E. Indianola Ave. Unwanted or unusable flags will be disposed of in "an official and honorable manner," post spokesman Gus Guzman said.

YOUNGSTOWN -- A mobile mammography unit will offer breast cancer screenings by appointment only for eligible Mahoning Valley women at the YWCA of Youngstown's Phelps Street parking lot Monday.
Call the YWCA of Youngstown at (330) 746-6361 for eligibility requirements and to schedule appointments, which will begin at 10 a.m. Financial assistance may be available to those who qualify. The service is sponsored by the YWCA's ENCOREplus program, which provides breast health education.
