A listing of local Veterans Day events:
MAHONING
Austintown: Fitch High School will have its annual Veterans Day Assembly at 9 a.m. Tuesday in the school auditorium. The speaker is Marine Corps Reserve Lt. Col. Kevin Rush. The concert choir and band will perform, and a reception for veterans will follow at 10 a.m.
Struthers: The eighth annual Veterans Day concert, performed by the South Range Middle School eighth-grade band, is at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Nicholas School, 762 Fifth St. The concert includes "Armed Forces On Parade" and other patriotic numbers.
Youngstown: The United Veterans Council of Greater Youngstown's Veterans Day program is at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the vestibule of the Mahoning County Courthouse downtown. Organizations should post their unit colors at 10:30 a.m. The speaker is William Seagraves, service director for the Ohio Veterans of Foreign Wars.
TRUMBULL
Champion: Nov. 14, Champion Primary School, assembly, 9:30 a.m.
Mineral Ridge: Wednesday, Mineral Ridge Middle School assembly, 1 p.m.
Newton Falls: Tuesday, 9 a.m., high school auditorium.
Niles: Veterans Day program at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Niles City Cemetery, state Route 46 and Niles-Vienna Road. The speaker is Lt. Cmdr. Russell P. Brockway, commanding officer of the Naval Marine Corps Reserve Center in Youngstown.
Southington: Wednesday, Southington High School assembly, 9 a.m.
Vienna: next Thursday, Mathews High School, 50th Anniversary Color Guard Commemoration, 1 p.m.
Warren: Veterans Day Memorial, Sunday, First United Presbyterian Church, High Street and Mahoning Avenue, 5 p.m. The speakers are retired Marine Corps Brigadier Gen. William Weise, Navy Cross recipient, and Marine Sgt. Sgt. Robert O'Malley, who received the Medal of Honor for his actions in Vietnam.
Warren: Trumbull County Memorial Day Observance and Veterans Day Federation Associations, Tuesday, program 11 a.m. downtown; parade at 12:30 p.m., with the Warren G. Harding, Liberty and Southington High School bands.
Warren: The W.D. Packard Concert Band, conducted by Robert E. Fleming, offers "Lest We Forget," a musical Veterans Day Salute, at 3 p.m. Sunday at Packard Music Hall, Mahoning Avenue N.W. Concert music includes patriotic tunes honoring all veterans and the United States, such as "Glenn Miller In Concert" from the World War II era; the Navy Hymn, "Eternal Father, Strong To Save"; and James Swearingen's "Lest We Forget." American flags will be passed out to those in attendance, and veterans of all service branches will be recognized.

PENNSYLVANIA
Bessemer, Pa.: Fifth annual Veterans Day Recognition Program, sponsored by the Mohawk High School Future Business Leaders of America, from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at the Mohawk Junior-Senior High School Auditorium. The speaker is 7th District Court of Appeals Judge Joseph J. Vukovich and Lt. Col. Larry G. Francis. Music is provided by Mohawk band and chorus. Call (724) 667-7782 for reservations.
