NEW CASTLE, PA. Man enters plea deal in drug-lab case

NEW CASTLE, Pa. -- A man accused of having an illegal drug lab in his garage entered into a plea agreement in Lawrence County Common Pleas Court.
King Frank Midas, 47, of Phillips Way pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, said Matthew Mangino, Lawrence County district attorney.
Several other drug related charges were dropped in exchange for Midas' cooperation, Mangino said.
The district attorney said his office has recommended Midas receive six months to one year in jail and one year probation. A sentence date has not been set.
Midas remains free on bond.
He was arrested in September 2002 after police found the methamphetamine lab after being called to Midas' home on a domestic dispute.
Jodi L. Dicken, 35, of New Castle pleaded guilty to drug charges last month in connection to the methamphetamine lab found in Midas' garage. She is also awaiting sentencing.
