YOUNGSTOWN -- On Friday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Mahoning County Homeless Coalition's fifth annual Stand Down event for the homeless and near homeless of the Mahoning Valley is at the Salvation Army, 1501 Glenwood Ave.
About 25 area social agencies will offer help and referrals to participants, and there will be free food and clothing distribution. Humility of Mary Health Partners' mobile clinic will offer free medical and dental screening.
