Cavaliers' Wagner undergoes knee surgery

KNIGHT RIDDER NEWSPAPERS
CLEVELAND -- Dajuan Wagner was finally healthy enough to start getting healthy.
The Cleveland Cavaliers' second-year guard underwent surgery on his ailing right knee Tuesday to repair a torn meniscus ligament. Before the procedure, the NBA team was unsure how long the recovery process would be. Now it looks as though Wagner might not return until February.
The operation had been on hold for weeks while Wagner was treated for an inflamed liver and pancreas, which prevented him from being put under anesthesia. Team doctors said the inflammation was caused by a side effect of prescription medication.
The team said in a statement Wagner would be sidelined eight to 12 weeks.
