MONTREAL -- Peter Sarno scored in his NHL debut -- a day after being recalled from the minors -- and Edmonton defeated Montreal.
Raffi Torres, Fernando Pisani and Cory Cross also scored and Marty Reasoner had two assists for Edmonton, which got its first win in four road games this season to begin a six-game trip.

ST. LOUIS -- Keith Tkachuk scored on a 3-on-1 break with 31 seconds left in overtime to give St. Louis a victory over Anaheim.

Giguere, who led the Mighty Ducks to last season's Stanley Cup finals, had his best outing of a shaky start to the season with 30 saves. He entered with a 1-6 record and 3.02 goals-against average.
Sandis Ozolinsh scored his first goal of the season early in the second period for Anaheim. Giguere and the Mighty Ducks' defense almost made it stand up.

CALGARY, Alberta -- Brendan Shanahan scored twice, Curtis Joseph made 21 saves for his first win of the season and Detroit snapped a five-game winless skid.
Joseph returned from a groin injury that sidelined him for two games and earned his 42nd career shutout. Starter Dominik Hasek has a groin injury that's sidelined him for four games and could keep him out for another week.
Darren McCarty also scored and Steve Yzerman had two assists for Detroit (6-6-1-0), which finished 1-2-1 on a four-game road trip.
