COLUMBIANA CORNER Seeing the big picture in courthouse office
Rather than carrying a massive wallet capable of holding pictures of his large family, Columbiana County Commissioner Gary Williams has hit on another way to show off his offspring.
The proud father and grandfather recently hung in his courthouse office a nearly 4-foot-wide, 3-foot-tall photograph of his family.
The portrait needs to be big to show his and his wife, Patricia's, 15 children; the oldest is 36, and the youngest is 11.
The group picture also features two of the Williams' nine grandchildren and several of their children's spouses.
Williams and his wife have been married for 38 years.
New pastor
Grace United Church of Christ in Columbiana has a new pastor, Mike Boehm, who preached his first sermon a few weeks ago.
Boehm moved to Columbiana County from Spencer in Medina County. He and his wife, Cindy, live on Lower Elkton Road on property that has a small pasture. The pasture will be home to Boehm's horse, Whiskey.
