Notebook: Cardinal Mooney has three boys teams competing on Saturday -- the soccer team (last year's Div. II state champs) and the football team play at 7 p.m. McDonald's boys team is favored to win its third state title in five years (1999 and 2001). The Blue Devils were runners-up in 2000 and 2002. Maplewood, last week's regional champions, won last season's boys state title. If you're planning to go, be sure to bring binoculars -- the grandstand sits far back from the middle of the field and the race is difficult to see.
