YOUNGSTOWN -- Henry Brisbane, a minister and manager of multicultural church evangelism for the Southern Baptist Convention's North American Mission Board, will speak at the free two-day family life conference at Rising Star Baptist Church, 2943 Wardle Ave.
The conference is from 6 to 9 p.m. Nov. 14 and 9 a.m. to noon Nov. 15. The theme is "Know Christ ... Know Peace; No Christ ... No Peace." Guest panelists also will discuss family issues. Call (330) 746-5890.
New chaplain named
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- The Rev. James R. Mohr II will be the new chaplain of Westminster College effective Nov. 17. A reception is planned from 3 to 4 p.m. Nov. 24 in the Old Main tower room.
The Rev. Mr. Mohr came from St. Andrews United Presbyterian Church in Butler, Pa., where he was pastor since 1995. At St. Andrews, he was involved in a $750,000 building renewal program, helped to develop a free community meal project that serves over 100 meals each Wednesday night, created the first downtown Butler Christian Preschool, and hosted the first Christian counseling service in his church.

YOUNGSTOWN -- Highway Tabernacle, 3000 S. Raccoon Road, Youngstown, will present "The Touch Felt 'Round the World," with a cast of more than 100 at 7 p.m. Saturday and 6:30 p.m. Nov. 9. The story focuses on a black pastor, the Rev. William J. Seymour, who in 1906 helped found the Azusa Street Mission in Los Angeles, Calif., an interracial Pentecostal movement. Call (330) 792-2341.

Anniversary speaker
VIENNA -- Liberty Bible Church, 2111 Sodom-Hutchings Road, will celebrate its 25th Anniversary Celebration with a lecture at 10 a.m. Nov. 16. Dr. Randy Guliuzza will speak on "The Importance of the Doctrine of Creation." He's both a registered professional engineer and a physician in the U.S. Air Force, serving as a flight surgeon at Brooks Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.
All Soul's Day
YOUNGSTOWN -- Cemeteries in the Catholic Diocese of Youngstown will have All Soul's Day Services at 1:45 p.m. Sunday. Monsignor David Rhodes will officiate at Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown, the Rev. Ed Noga at the Resurrection Cemetery in Austintown and the Rev. Bill Loveless at All Soul's Cemetery in Cortland.
